When someone gives you a support plan, you should know what is private and what is shared.
SoberPals lets you use a plan on your phone, track your own progress, and decide whether sharing would help.
You can use SoberPals privately.
You can also choose to share selected progress with a provider, program, recovery house, court program, sponsor, peer supporter, caregiver, family member, or trusted person.
A program code gives you access to a plan.
It does not automatically give anyone access to your progress.
Enter it during setup or later through Add Plans & Codes.
SoberPals is designed around participant choice.
A person can accept a support plan and use it privately.
They can also choose to share selected progress with an organization, provider, court program, sponsor, caregiver, peer supporter, family member, or trusted person.
Participants decide what to share, who can see it, when sharing starts, and when sharing stops.
When sharing is authorized, SoberPals may help teams better understand progress between visits. When sharing is not authorized, the participant can still benefit from the plan.
For the person using SoberPals, sharing is not automatic.
You can receive a plan, use it, customize it, track your own progress, and keep it private.
You can also decide that sharing would help someone support you.
You may choose to share:
Sharing should make it easier to say:
“Here is what happened.”
“Here is what helped.”
“Here is where I got stuck.”
The goal is to help you get support without feeling watched.
Sharing design is an implementation issue.
People may avoid tools if they feel watched, judged, or punished.
They may engage more honestly when they understand what is private, what is optional, and what they control.
Participant-controlled sharing may help researchers and organizations study:
A progress report shows what happened.
A barriers report may help explain what got in the way.

SoberPals is designed to help people use support plans privately or share selected progress when it helps.
