Help build Welvida.

Welvida is building a behavior engagement and adherence platform for helping people follow through with the plans, tools, and support that protect health, recovery, stability, and independence.

SoberPals is our first focused market-entry product in recovery and behavioral health.

The larger vision is Welvida: a platform that may help identify early decline through active engagement, AI, device data, sensor signals, and human support workflows across behavioral health, addiction recovery, aging in place, chronic disease management, and caregiver support.

We are recruiting founding contributors who can help build the foundation.

Who We Need Now

We are recruiting a small group of high-leverage contributors. Our immediate needs are:

UX and Product Design

Help make Welvida simple, warm, trustworthy, and usable when people are stressed, anxious, depressed, craving, overwhelmed, tired, or caregiving under pressure.

React Native Development

Help turn the current MVP into a mobile-first product that supports plans, program codes, sample codes, meeting tools, reset plans, safety plans, participant-controlled sharing, reports, and future Welvida Insight.

Backend and Data Engineering

Help design the architecture behind tools, plans, program codes, permissions, organizations, reports, sharing, engagement signals, and future insight.

Privacy and Data Architecture

Help build participant-controlled sharing, consent, permissions, reporting boundaries, organization access, and future insight tools in a way that protects trust from the beginning.

AI Strategy and Applied AI

Help explore how AI can support summaries, barrier detection, engagement patterns, reset-plan suggestions, early decline signals, and provider-support workflows without replacing human judgment.

Business Development and Partnerships

Help secure beta partners, pilot sites, recovery organizations, treatment programs, courts, providers, caregivers, health systems, and future enterprise customers.

Grant Writing and Research Funding

Help turn Welvida’s research agenda into SBIR/STTR, NIH, NIDA, NIAAA, NIMH, SAMHSA, foundation, and university partnership opportunities.

The Welvida Platform Thesis

From adherence to earlier support.

Welvida builds on two prior healthcare technology lessons.

ImpactMeds focused on adherence: helping people organize medications, receive reminders, access adherence tools, and connect stakeholders around pharmacist-led counseling, medication therapy management, and high-risk patient support.

Canary extended that work into predictive risk. Using historical healthcare data, Canary was able to train on one period of patient data, predict hospitalization risk in a later period, and compare those predictions against actual later outcomes. The model showed meaningful predictive strength for identifying patients at elevated risk of hospitalization.

Welvida brings those two ideas together.

The first job is practical: help people follow through with daily support plans.

The larger opportunity is earlier support.

Welvida is built around the hypothesis that changes in behavior, engagement, routines, support contact, sleep, activity, location patterns, medication adherence, meeting participation, check-ins, device data, and passive sensor signals may help identify early decline before crisis becomes obvious.

The goal is not only better adherence.

The goal is earlier support.

SoberPals Is the First Signal Layer

Recovery and behavioral health are the starting point.

SoberPals begins in recovery and behavioral health because the need is urgent, the engagement problem is visible, and the consequences of missed support can be severe.

The beta product focuses on active signals:

  • Goals
  • Check-ins
  • Meeting participation
  • Support contacts
  • Reset-plan use
  • Safety-plan use
  • Program-code engagement
  • Participant-controlled sharing
  • Progress and barrier reports

As Welvida evolves, the platform can integrate additional signals:

  • Sleep
  • Activity
  • Medication adherence
  • Location patterns
  • Device data
  • Wearable data
  • Sensor data
  • Caregiver observations
  • Provider or supporter feedback
  • Claims data
  • Medication and discharge plans

The long-term question is whether these signals can help identify decline earlier and trigger the right human support at the right time.

Not to replace caregivers, providers, sponsors, or professionals.

To help them notice sooner.

Why Join Now

This is the moment to shape the foundation.

Welvida is early enough that founding contributors can still influence the product architecture, data model, user experience, AI strategy, privacy model, partner workflows, and scientific roadmap.

The immediate work is SoberPals beta.

The larger work is building a behavior engagement and early-support platform that may eventually serve recovery, behavioral health, aging, caregiving, chronic disease, and high-risk care management.

We are recruiting people who understand both sides of the opportunity:

The human side: people need tools that help them take one more useful step when life is hard.

The platform side: behavior and engagement signals may become one of the most important early-warning layers in health and healthcare.

If that thesis is right, Welvida is much larger than a recovery app.

How We Work

A founding contributor opportunity.

Welvida is early-stage.

We are looking for contributors who understand that early-stage company building requires creativity, urgency, trust, and belief in the mission.

Some roles may begin as advisory, project-based, part-time, deferred-compensation, or equity-oriented arrangements depending on fit, contribution, timing, and available funding.

Our goal is to build a small, serious founding contributor team before expanding into larger paid roles.

If you are looking only for a conventional job, this may not be the right stage.

If you want to help build a venture-scale health engagement platform from the ground up, we should talk.

Help build the platform behind SoberPals.

We are looking for UX designers, React Native developers, backend and data engineers, privacy and data advisors, AI advisors, business development partners, and grant writers.

If you want to help build a behavior engagement and early-support platform that starts in recovery and behavioral health and expands across health, caregiving, adherence, and early decline detection, we would welcome a conversation.
